You had us feeling like we were front row at a real Garth show—minus the arena traffic and plus a whole lot of hometown charm! Vet Tix, you continue to make incredible experiences possible for veterans and their families, and we don’t take that for granted. And Harold’s—what a venue! Great vibes, great crowd, and the perfect place to two-step the night away. If there were friends in low places, we didn’t find them—just good people, great music, and amazing memories. 🙌 Thanks again for a night we won’t forget!

So grateful to Country Works Nashville LLC for this great experience. Started going to the Opry in the 1970s. These songs and personalities were dear to me. These tribute performances were so gratifying. The staging was outstanding. And the fellowship with the other Vets and family members at our table was special. One was a Vietnam widow, whose man was felled by Agent Orange 10 yrs ago.

Life gets busy, and quality time can be hard to come by. Thanks to VetTix, I was able to press pause and share a meaningful, joy-filled date night with my daughter—something we both truly needed. Thank you, Vet Tix, Fox Tucson Theatre, The Stanley Jordan Trio, Security, all directors, managers, coordinators, production designers, audio/visual/lighting/sound techs, stage hands, snack and beverage servers, bartenders, ticketers, ushers, volunteers, and your great staffs for a splendid evening and an incredible concert. This was my wife's and my and our friends' second visit to Fox Tucson Theatre. It is so gorgeous with its colorful floret tiles and spires and travertine-looking walls. We had excellent seats in the Left Section, Row B, Seats 8-12, about thirty feet from Jordan, which was perfect! In all actuality, there are no bad seats in the house. A nice feature of Fox Tucson Theatre is its snack bars that serve various types of refreshments, including adult beverages. The Fox Tucson Theatre website presented: "In a career that took flight in 1985 with commercial and critical acclaim, guitar virtuoso Stanley Jordan has consistently displayed a chameleonic musical persona of openness, imagination, versatility and maverick daring. Be it bold reinventions of classical masterpieces or soulful explorations through pop-rock hits, to blazing straight ahead jazz forays and ultramodern improvisational works-solo or with a group-Jordan can always be counted on to take listeners on breathless journeys into the unexpected." I was introduced to Stanley Jordan in 1987 while watching the movie Blind Date with Bruce Willis and Kim Basinger. What a hilarious flick! Bruce took Kim to a recording studio to hear a young Jordan play. That’s when I got hooked on his music. He is an amazingly talented musician. His unique tap-picking style puts him light years ahead of his contemporaries. He made that guitar sit, dance, talk, sing, and prance! I should say those guitars. He actually played two at once. He did a duet with a guitar and piano as well. His drummer did likewise with the drum and keyboards. Yeah! I never dreamed I'd hear him live, but miracles do happen! He even sings! His bass player and drummer were also from another musical planet. They enveloped that guitar voice with their own special echos of sometimes mellow and other moments dramatic and lively blends of discordance and harmony. Their doo-wopping added another dimension to the mix. It's fascinating how with Jazz, one song can go on for twenty minutes or so. What a thrill ride! Again, thank you, Vet Tix, Fox Tucson Theatre, The Stanley Jordan Trio, Security, all directors, managers, coordinators, production designers, audio/visual/lighting/sound techs, stage hands, snack and beverage servers, bartenders, ticketers, ushers, volunteers, anyone I missed, and your stupendous teams for a nice time and a fantastic show. Thank you Vet Tix, The Phoenix Theatre Company, the Come From Away players, sponsor Miracle Mile Delicatessen, all directors, managers, coordinators, costume and production designers, audio/visual/lighting/sound techs, musicians, stage hands, ushers, food and beverage servers, bartenders, ticketers, and your spectacular staffs and volunteers for promoting such a splendid evening. This was something like our tenth visit to The Phoenix Theatre Company. We just love it! There are restaurants within and around the theatre, liquor bars, as well as a snack bar, which are huge pluses. What is also cool is the gift shop usually sells memorabilia that coincides with the theme of the numerous shows. There are no bad seats in the house. We had great, comfortable seats in the Center Section, Row S, Seats 101-104 of the Dr. Stacie J. and Richard J Stephenson Theatre, the newest, luxurious feature of TPTC, which has several sets. The Phoenix Theatre Company's website advertised: "About the Show A story of kindness in the face of tragedy, Come From Away is the true story of a small Newfoundland town that welcomed 7,000 stranded travelers after 9/11. As fear and uncertainty gripped the world, the people of Gander opened their hearts, forging unexpected friendships and proving that even in the darkest times, compassion can shine through. With a soaring score and unforgettable storytelling, this Tony Award-winning musical is a deeply moving and unexpectedly joyful celebration of human connection, resilience, and the extraordinary power of generosity." With a description like that, we suspected we were in for an emotional, turbulent flight, and we were not wrong! One minute we were laughing. The next, we were in tears. The show was funny and sad. It prodded, probed, and was intrusive. It tapped into the fears, anxiety, turmoil, confusion, angst, etc., brought forth by the events of 09/11/2001, not only for those of us in the United States, but Newfoundland. Our emotions were all over the place. We were forced to wrestle with what lie beneath. It was such a touching musical! I can't speak highly enough about the performers. They were off the charts incredible!. The singing, dancing, acting, adopting various parts, speaking in different dialects, multiple costume changes, set rearranging was amazing. I don’t believe I have ever seen a more dynamic, high-energy presentation. This is a must-see show! What's also nice about The Phoenix Theatre Company is after the plays, the performers hang around outside to chat with fans. Again, thank you Vet Tix, The Phoenix Theatre Company, the Come From Away players, sponsor Miracle Mile Delicatessen, all directors, managers, coordinators, costume and production designers, audio/visual/lighting/sound techs, musicians, stage hands, ushers, food and beverage servers, bartenders, ticketers, your stupendous teams, volunteers, and anyone I missed, for making it such an awesome experience. Steppenwolf Theatre Company productions never dissapoint, and we saw a other amazing performance. I know of no other venue or artistic group that dedicates and donates an entire full theater performance to veterans for each run. To show their dedication to supporting veterans even more, they also offer a free dinner to go with the free tickets. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo! Steppenwolf truly leads with their actions and sets an example for others to follow.
