Current Hero's Wishes
My name is Sarah. I have been in the Air Force since 2006. My most recent deployment had me away from my family for nearly four months. I just returned from a deployment to INDOPACOM at the end of April and would like to take my family to Disneyland; this year has been difficult for all of us, and it will be nice to relax together now that things are getting back to normal.

I would like to get tickets for my daughter and I to go to the Treefort Music Festival in Boise, Idaho, from 25 to 29 March 2026. We are big fans of live music and would love to get five-day passes to attend, especially if they are the zipline passes, so we can get into every event, no matter the crowd. I would like this wish granted because my daughter and I love to go to concerts together, but it is difficult to justify spending money on entertainment like this when we don't have much. Soon after returning home, we had flooding in the house causing extensive damage in three rooms and other areas such as closets and part of the garage. Insurance is covering a lot, but not everything. If that didn't take all of our extra funds, there has been multiple repairs needed on vehicles that have taken the rest. We are good at budgeting and tightening belts when needed, and we will recover from the financial strain, but expensive festival tickets are not in the budget right now.

My name is Rosemary, an Army veteran and the widow of Army SSG Jeremy A. Brown. Jeremy was killed in action on July 3, 2005, while deployed in Mosul, Iraq. At the time, he had just begun our third consecutive deployment to Iraq since we were married. Our married life was defined by service to our country. While Jeremy was completing his first deployment, I arrived to start mine — passing each other in Kuwait by a single day. When I returned home, he was deployed again. We celebrated our marriage with a big family wedding during his two-week R&R, but we never had the chance to take a honeymoon or share a family vacation together. I have remained unmarried for the past 20 years, and have a son who is 19. He is a wonderful young man and a devoted WWE fan. My wish is to share with him a special experience we will both cherish — attending WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Specifically, I am requesting two 2-day tickets so that we can enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime event together. This would not only fulfill a dream for my son but also honor the life and sacrifices that have shaped our family’s journey.

Hello! My name is Nathan. I am an 11 year veteran on my way home from my second tour. I am writing this in hopes of you being able to help my family create new memories and make up for lost time in a trip to Disney World. Every service member knows that being a parent while deployed isn’t exactly easy. For me, hearing my two boys wonder where I am and ask when I am coming home is always so difficult, especially around their birthdays. I wasn’t able to make it home for the birth of my second child last deployment. This deployment I lost my grandfather this summer and wasn’t able to attend his funeral. This compounded a lot of stress on my family and I, but have made it thus far. My wife, Mary, is the rock in our marriage; a retired veteran after 22 years of dedicated service and a mother of two handsome boys, has worked tirelessly to get our kids to summer camp and to keep them happy and healthy while I’m deployed, as well as taking over my chores as well. For my Hero’s Wish, I am asking you to help me get our family 4 Park Hopper Passes to Walt Disney World. This isn’t just a wish for me, this wish is for my wife who held this family together and for my kids to have breakfast with their favorite Disney characters.

I would love to take my Fiancé and our three girls, ages 5, 9, and 12, to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. My children have never been, and I remember going as a child and making lasting memories. I would love to take them to Disney and am asking for 5 tickets for two park days. My children love everything Disney, and I would love to make our forever memories.

My name is Chief Petty Officer Seth Jones, and I have proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 17 years. Serving this country is not just my duty, it’s my passion. I have defended freedom, protected the front lines, led multiple units in unfamiliar territories, and stepped in wherever needed. But this calling has come at a hefty cost. I am blessed with a wonderful wife who has carried the weight of being both mom and dad during my nine deployments in serving the Red, White, and Blue. She has been the rock for our three daughters Mersadies (19), Neveah (15), and Violet (12). They left the comfort of family in Utah to hold down the fort in Southern California. None of us could have imagined just how many nights they would spend without me. It wasn’t only deployments when I missed days at home, I was often away on training, courses, or temporary assignments, leaving my chair empty at the table. Since enlisting, I have missed more moments than I can count, moments I once swore I would never let slip away. Birthdays, holidays, first days of school, last days of school, sporting events, family dinners where my seat sat empty night after night. I’ve missed blowing out candles, hearing about new adventures and fears, cheering from the sidelines, consoling scraped knees, and tucking my girls in at night. Many of those moments slipped by while I was across the world in another time zone, others while I was tied up with training or orders that shifted at the last second. Even when I tried to make it home for something special, duty always seemed to have other plans. In those early years, between 2008 and 2012, I experienced their birthdays, first days of school, and holidays only through photos and grainy video calls sometimes with lag, dropped connections, or just a blurry screen. As technology improved, I could finally see the events in real time, but it only reminded me more painfully of what I was missing. Over time, the missed school performances and sporting events chipped away at the closeness of our family. For the last four years, we’ve been searching for something to bring us back together to reignite the fire and rebuild the bond stretched thin by distance and time apart. A family trip to Disney World would mean the world to us. The ultimate dream come true would be the five of us, my wife and I and our three daughters experiencing that magic. It would be a chance to create a memory together that doesn’t need to be retold later. Thank you for considering my wish and giving me the chance to hope that, maybe this time, I won’t have to miss out. A dad who just wants to be “in the room where it happens” with his family.

Hello, we are the Powell Family. I am Daniel, an E-7 Chief Boatswain Mate in the United States Coast Guard, currently serving my second tour overseas in Bahrain as part of Patrol Forces Southwest Asia. I am married to my loving wife, Daisy, and blessed with two amazing children, Delano and Desmin, who are 9 and 11 years old. While my work is challenging and rewarding, I believe my family shoulders the greatest burden: my children being without their father for a total of two and a half years during my deployments, and most importantly, my wife, who is currently in remission from lymphoma. Her courage, resilience, and strength in managing our household during my absence inspire me every day. Our wish is to create lasting family memories by visiting Disney World upon my return from deployment. We are respectfully requesting assistance in obtaining multi day park hopper plus tickets for my family. This experience would not only be a dream come true for our children but also serve as a much-needed morale boost for my wife and our entire family after these challenging few years.

Hero's Wish Feedback
Maksym says:
I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous contribution to my Hero Wish for a post-deployment trip to Disney World. Your support made it possible for me and my family to experience something truly special after a long and challenging time away. This trip wasn’t just a vacation—it was a much-needed chance to reconnect with my loved ones and create joyful memories that will stay with us forever. Watching my children light up with wonder at the Disney parades and share laughter with them on the rides helped me feel a sense of peace I hadn’t realized I was missing. For a few days, we were able to escape the stress, the separation, and the weight of service life, and just be a family again. None of that would have been possible without your selfless gift. Your support goes far beyond dollars—it brings healing, unity, and joy to military families like mine. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping make this dream come true.

Dear VetTix and Gracious Donors, Thank you so much for granting my wish! It was exactly what the family and I needed to disconnect with the stressors of life and reconnect with each other. I never thought that I would ever be able to take my children to Disney World. Thanks to your generous contributions, I was able to do just that. My kids and I had an amazing time at the most magical place on earth and there's no better season to visit Disney World than right before Christmas. The experience was nothing like I could ever imagine, it was far more than I ever expected. The park was breathtaking, as it was decorated so beautifully. Going to the park allowed us to create memories that will last a life time. Growing up, my family was never able to afford taking me and my brothers to Disney World or Disneyland and I wanted to be able to do things for my children that my family was never able to do for me. I want to help give them the opportunity to grow, travel and experience things that were unattainable for me at my young age. All of which is part of the reason I joined the military, to have a better life than I did, to work hard to remove some of the barriers that made growing up with a single parent, incredibly challenging. You all made it possible for me take my family and as an added bonus, I was able to pay all costs to surprise my mother with the trip as well. My mother has always dreamed of going to Disney World and as mentioned before, she never had the means to make it possible. With careful coordination with her medical care providers, she was approved for the trip and was able to receive treatment just minutes from the park. The trip was not only a surprise for my mother, but for the kids as well. Upon returning from deployment, I spent months trying to conceal my excitement for the surprise of a lifetime. There are no words to truly express how thankful I am for all the donors that made this wish possible for me and my family. This incredible opportunity is one I'm sure we will never forget. Thank you so much for blessing me and my family with tickets to Disney World. I hope to be a blessing to others in the future. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & Happy New Year! Nichelle

A dream come true family vacation is the exact way I would describe our trip. Thank you Vet Tix and the Hero's Wish coordinators for all the work that goes into this amazing program and opportunity. As a service member who will hit 20 years of service this August I have nothing but gratitude for what the military has done for myself and the life my family and I are afforded. The time away from the family is truly the only hard part of serving and it was incredible to be gifted these lifelong memories. My kids, five and seven years old, had the time of their lives. Above all else, they were most excited to be at Disney World as a family. The memories will surely last a lifetime. My son and I have spent hours sword fighting (souvenirs he chose), my daughter and I made secret hand shakes while waiting for rides and my wife (who as a military spouse, the hardest job of all) was able to take off a few of her hats, unwind and relax while just being a mother. We enjoyed our time together so much and are forever grateful to have been given this experience. A special thank you to Madeline and Raymond, our angel donors, whose selflessly generous donations will never be forgotten. On behalf of my family, thank you!

When I made this wish, my intention was to facilitate my reunion with my children after almost a year of separation. However, I now realize that it holds greater significance as it coincides with major life events: my eldest child graduating high school, embarking on the journey of adulthood, and my own transition from military service to new identities and chapters. Thank you for the opportunity to reconnect with my family during these significant moments in our lives.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible gift you gave my family and me—tickets to Disney World after returning home from my deployment to the Middle East. After months apart, being able to reunite with my loved ones and experience the magic of Disney together was truly unforgettable. From watching our children’s faces light up as they met their favorite characters, to simply being able to laugh, explore, and make memories together—it was everything we needed and more. This opportunity gave us a chance to reconnect, heal, and celebrate our time together after a long separation. It reminded us how much moments like these matter. To every donor who made this possible: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity doesn't just provide tickets—it creates lifelong memories and brings joy to military families like mine when we need it most. With sincere appreciation, MAJ Adam R Carroll
