Current Hero's Wishes
Hello, I am Staff Sergeant Kyle Pahren, a Pararescueman with the New York Air National Guard's 103rd Rescue Squadron. I am in my 11th year of service and recently returned from deployment. I also served in Afghanistan in 2020. I am a lifelong USA soccer fan. I grew up playing club soccer and then played in college as well. I would love to attend a FIFA soccer match. After months away from home, being able to cheer on the USA with my wife who held down the fort while I was gone would be a memory we’d carry for a lifetime. Thank you for your consideration and all you do for Veterans. Best, Kyle

My name is Chief Petty Officer Seth Jones, and I have proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 17 years. Serving this country is not just my duty, it’s my passion. I have defended freedom, protected the front lines, led multiple units in unfamiliar territories, and stepped in wherever needed. But this calling has come at a hefty cost. I am blessed with a wonderful wife who has carried the weight of being both mom and dad during my nine deployments in serving the Red, White, and Blue. She has been the rock for our three daughters Mersadies (19), Neveah (15), and Violet (12). They left the comfort of family in Utah to hold down the fort in Southern California. None of us could have imagined just how many nights they would spend without me. It wasn’t only deployments when I missed days at home, I was often away on training, courses, or temporary assignments, leaving my chair empty at the table. Since enlisting, I have missed more moments than I can count, moments I once swore I would never let slip away. Birthdays, holidays, first days of school, last days of school, sporting events, family dinners where my seat sat empty night after night. I’ve missed blowing out candles, hearing about new adventures and fears, cheering from the sidelines, consoling scraped knees, and tucking my girls in at night. Many of those moments slipped by while I was across the world in another time zone, others while I was tied up with training or orders that shifted at the last second. Even when I tried to make it home for something special, duty always seemed to have other plans. In those early years, between 2008 and 2012, I experienced their birthdays, first days of school, and holidays only through photos and grainy video calls sometimes with lag, dropped connections, or just a blurry screen. As technology improved, I could finally see the events in real time, but it only reminded me more painfully of what I was missing. Over time, the missed school performances and sporting events chipped away at the closeness of our family. For the last four years, we’ve been searching for something to bring us back together to reignite the fire and rebuild the bond stretched thin by distance and time apart. A family trip to Disney World would mean the world to us. The ultimate dream come true would be the five of us, my wife and I and our three daughters experiencing that magic. It would be a chance to create a memory together that doesn’t need to be retold later. Thank you for considering my wish and giving me the chance to hope that, maybe this time, I won’t have to miss out. A dad who just wants to be “in the room where it happens” with his family.

My wish that would mean the world to my family and I would be attending the World Cup 2026 Finals. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for My Daughter, 2 Sons, and I to experience what we love together, all together. Financially most of our bonding is done separately for our love of sports, having the opportunity to all 4 attend World Cup Matches together is unbelievable to me. Since being wounded, while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, soccer and sporting events in general, have become a major part of our bonding and our relationship. The chance of even attending any World Cup 2026 events as a family is unbelievable to begin with and we would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, we are the Powell Family. I am Daniel, an E-7 Chief Boatswain Mate in the United States Coast Guard, currently serving my second tour overseas in Bahrain as part of Patrol Forces Southwest Asia. I am married to my loving wife, Daisy, and blessed with two amazing children, Delano and Desmin, who are 9 and 11 years old. While my work is challenging and rewarding, I believe my family shoulders the greatest burden: my children being without their father for a total of two and a half years during my deployments, and most importantly, my wife, who is currently in remission from lymphoma. Her courage, resilience, and strength in managing our household during my absence inspire me every day. Our wish is to create lasting family memories by visiting Disney World upon my return from deployment. We are respectfully requesting assistance in obtaining multi day park hopper plus tickets for my family. This experience would not only be a dream come true for our children but also serve as a much-needed morale boost for my wife and our entire family after these challenging few years.

This is my fifth deployment, and while I’ve learned how to carry the weight of being away, my family continues to carry the heavier load at home. My wife holds everything together for our four daughters—school days, practices, rehearsals, homework, and the emotional reality of growing up with a parent far away. Distance, time zones, and the uncertainty of today’s world add to that strain, and every missed moment reminds us how much these seasons ask of military families. As our daughters grow older, time together has become something we have to protect intentionally. Their lives are fuller now, moving quickly toward independence. Our oldest is preparing to join the Air Force, and with a possible move later this year, change feels close and constant. These transitions have made us more aware of how quickly this chapter is passing. Upon my return from deployment, I hope to pause and reconnect as a family. A family trip to Disney World would give us uninterrupted time to be present with one another—to laugh, talk, and create memories that carry us into the next stage of our lives. This wouldn’t simply be a vacation, but a moment to reflect, reconnect, and honor the sacrifices my wife and daughters have made alongside my service. Thank you for supporting military families and helping make moments like this possible.

My family and I would love to go to Disney World. We have never attended the theme park and had always been a wish of ours. I recently just got back from the Middle East and would love to take my family on a vacation here. During these times I cannot afford to take my family to buy tickets, hotels, food, and transportation. If I can get any help I would greatly appreciate it to take my family before I PCS from Fort Hood.

Hello, My name is Ross. I am a Soldier stationed at Fort Riley and have recently returned from my second deployment in 15 years of service. I would like to request a wish to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game with my family of five. Throughout my deployments and time away from home, my family has made tremendous sacrifices and has been incredibly supportive. While I was deployed, they worked hard to keep everything running at home, and I am very grateful for their strength and resilience. Having the opportunity to attend a Chiefs game together would provide us with a special chance to reconnect, create lasting memories, and enjoy quality family time after multiple deployments and extended separations. It would mean a great deal to all of us and would be a memorable way to celebrate being back together. Thank you for your consideration and for everything you do to support service members and their families.

This October will be 15 years of marriage for my wife and I. We met while I was serving and have been watching Vikings games together ever since. On September 20, 2026 the Vikings will play the Chicago Bears for what may be the last time at Soldier field. My wife and I were hoping to make it to that game for our anniversary.

Thank you very much to those who donated to my Hero's Wish. A special thank you to Stage 3 Motor Sports INC and Veteran Tickets Foundation for sponsoring my family's vacation. Words cannot fully express the overwhelming gratitude my family and I feel for the incredible generosity that made our Hero's Wish come true through Vet Tix. Thanks to donations from generous donors like Kenneth, John, Eulalio, KrisAnn, Rebecca, Robert, Kobe, William, Rosemary, Evander, and several others, we were able to take our first family trip to Walt Disney World—a dream that seemed impossible until your kindness made it a reality. For my wife, this trip fulfilled a lifelong dream she never thought would happen. Watching her experience the magic of Disney for the very first time was a gift beyond measure. But perhaps even more precious was witnessing our ASD/IDD son's pure joy as he met Mickey Mouse and his favorite characters in person. The wonder in his eyes, his infectious laughter, and the way he lit up with each new discovery reminded us all of what true magic looks like. This wasn't just a vacation—it was a chance for our family to create memories that will last a lifetime. In moments when daily challenges can feel overwhelming, we now have these beautiful experiences to hold onto. Your generosity gave us more than a trip; you gave us hope, joy, and the reminder that there are still people who believe in taking care of one another. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our family and for making dreams come true. Your kindness has touched our lives in ways you may never fully know, but we will carry this gratitude with us always. With deepest appreciation, Jeff

To our Generous donors, Thank you so much for helping us in taking our family to Disney for a much needed vacation, and the ability to achieve a dream of ours in taking our children on a trip to Disney. Our family visited all of the parks, and also met some of our favorite Disney characters. We were able to attend a character breakfast where the kids were able to meet Eyeore, Piglett, Tigger, and Winnie the Pooh. They also met Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Russel from the movie “Up”. Their favorite rides were the Kilimanjaro Safari ride at Animal Kingdom, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios, and Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid at Magic Kingdom. We were also able to coordinate with my mother in law to watch the kids on two separate evenings, allowing for my wife and I to have a date night. We visited Magic Kingdom for dinner and Epcot, which is currently having their annual flower and garden festival. It was wonderful to be able to have some time as just husband and wife and focus on us outside of the normal craziness of life. Our family can not thank you enough for your generosity. Your gift allowed us to take a trip as a family where we could focus on each other, relax and have fun. All while creating memories we will remember forever. Thank you, SSG Casey Donovan

This was one of the most awesome experiences of my life. To be able to return home after a long ten months in Afghanistan and see the looks on their faces was amazing. We were able to share some much needed family time, as I am a single mom and they were in the care of my mother during my absence. I am at a loss for words to cover my gratitude to those who assisted in making this wish/dream come true. I truly do not know if we would have been able to have the same experience during this vacation if it were not for those donors who came to our aid/assistance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Martin Family says:
Our family is so very grateful to all of the donors who made this trip happen. Thank you to Jennifer, Colby, Tim, Karen, and especially Leslie and Thomas! This kids has such a fun time. We had heavy rain on Tuesday, which meant that instead of being one of the busiest days of the year, the Magic Kingdom was nearly empty (it was a warm rain and we were prepared with head-to-toe gore tex and a stroller cover). Our oldest daughter cannot stop talking about meeting Ariel, her favorite princess. Our son is a die hard Star Wars fan, and loved meeting the characters and riding on Star Tours. My wife and I are so happy that we were able to spend a few days at Disney World with our kids. The weather was warm and it was good to get away from the cold winter. Thank you to all the donors, and thank you Vet Tix! God bless everyone who made this possible, and God bless America!
