Current Hero's Wishes
Hello all, My wish is a simple one. I wish to attend a Buffalo Bills home game in their new stadium opening year. (2026). I've been attending Bills games my entire life and the old stadium is part of my core memories. I've missed the closing of the old stadium due to my deployment. What makes this a wish, is the price of the new stadium tickets are quite frankly absurd for Buffalo, a blue collar and veteran rich community. My wife is Canadian and we are in the midst of her immigration paperwork. We are currently living 2.5 hours apart from each other. Between supporting two households, financially any extra money I have, had to be prioritized for immigration and lawyers. There's no crazy request other than just that, some tickets to a game. Specifically, the home opener since the new stadium is only gonna open once! Go Bills.

This October will be 15 years of marriage for my wife and I. We met while I was serving and have been watching Vikings games together ever since. On September 20, 2026 the Vikings will play the Chicago Bears for what may be the last time at Soldier field. My wife and I were hoping to make it to that game for our anniversary.

When I was 15, I had the chance to see Limp Bizkit at their free Napster show in Dallas, but I could not secure transportation and had to miss it. Ever since, seeing Limp Bizkit perform live has been a dream of mine. I have been a fan since 1999, and their music has played a meaningful role in my life. I especially admire guitarist Wes Borland and his incredible costumes. With the band performing in Nashville this October, within driving distance of Birmingham, I would finally have the opportunity to fulfill that long-held dream.

Attending the 'Primetime with the Steelers' event in October with my son would be an unforgettable experience. Because I work second shift, we do not get to spend as much time together as I would like. He is entering his senior year of football and plays both offensive and defensive line, so this would be a meaningful way to celebrate our shared love of the game. I have been a lifelong Steelers fan and have always admired their hard-nosed defense. My son and I especially enjoy watching T.J. Watt. After serving as a combat engineer in Iraq in 2003 and 2004, this opportunity would give us valuable time together and a memory we could carry for years. I'd love to give him an amazing day!

Hello my name is Donavan. I went on deployment in Iraq and Kuwait. I have been away from my family for about 9 months. I just want to spend the time with my family for loss of time if possible. I am married to my wife Sierra. We got married while I was on deployment. We have 2 children, Penelope and Rowan. I am 27 years old and turn 28 on the 15th of October. My wife is also turning 28 on the 1st of October and would love if we could get our wish fulfilled. I'm apart of the 101st CAB. It was my first deployment in Iraq and Kuwait. I am located at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Lifelong wish to attend a home Steelers game with my family. We have never been to a Steelers game. If I can get this wish granted it would be a miracle. I would take my 2 sons and my dad with me to the game cause his health is failing. I have never asked for anything like this. I appreciate the chance to fulfill a dream come true so I thank you in advance.

When I made this wish, my intention was to facilitate my reunion with my children after almost a year of separation. However, I now realize that it holds greater significance as it coincides with major life events: my eldest child graduating high school, embarking on the journey of adulthood, and my own transition from military service to new identities and chapters. Dear VetTix and Gracious Donors, Thank you so much for granting my wish! It was exactly what the family and I needed to disconnect with the stressors of life and reconnect with each other. I never thought that I would ever be able to take my children to Disney World. Thanks to your generous contributions, I was able to do just that. My kids and I had an amazing time at the most magical place on earth and there's no better season to visit Disney World than right before Christmas. The experience was nothing like I could ever imagine, it was far more than I ever expected. The park was breathtaking, as it was decorated so beautifully. Going to the park allowed us to create memories that will last a life time. Growing up, my family was never able to afford taking me and my brothers to Disney World or Disneyland and I wanted to be able to do things for my children that my family was never able to do for me. I want to help give them the opportunity to grow, travel and experience things that were unattainable for me at my young age. All of which is part of the reason I joined the military, to have a better life than I did, to work hard to remove some of the barriers that made growing up with a single parent, incredibly challenging. You all made it possible for me take my family and as an added bonus, I was able to pay all costs to surprise my mother with the trip as well. My mother has always dreamed of going to Disney World and as mentioned before, she never had the means to make it possible. With careful coordination with her medical care providers, she was approved for the trip and was able to receive treatment just minutes from the park. The trip was not only a surprise for my mother, but for the kids as well. Upon returning from deployment, I spent months trying to conceal my excitement for the surprise of a lifetime. There are no words to truly express how thankful I am for all the donors that made this wish possible for me and my family. This incredible opportunity is one I'm sure we will never forget. I like to thank Vet Tix and the people who donated though the Hero's Wish program. Especially The NY Yankees For the great seats I had for Myself and my family. They treated me special. This program shows Veterans that people do care about us. It made me feel good I also met a great friend at the game who helped make this dream come true thanks Joe. It will be a long time before I can forget this day I got to see my favorite player Derek Jeter play and the NY Yankees won what more can you ask for thank you Vet Tix.
