Great time at TCU stadium as Louisiana Tech beats the Naval Academy 48-45 in the 2016 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl. Real football weather, overcast, drizzle & 50 degrees. Went with daughter and son & her boyfriend (somebody had to take picture). Sat with two really good friends Bobby & Kiffney. So big thank you to Lockheed Martin, The United States Naval Academy and of course VET TIX. It was also nice to see about 200 young men and women take the Oath of Enlistment at halftime. SEMPER FI.

The opportunity to be at the game made our holiday weekend better than we could imagine. My wife and I rarely get to go to large events like this because of scheduling, so we took this chance to go to a bowl game as a gift to ourselves. Even though I come from a family of Army veterans, it was a privilege to cheer on the Midshipmen. Even though they fell just short, the game was exciting and we met some vets and future vets that made the atmosphere comfortable and fun. Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl and Heart of Dallas Bowl United States Naval Academy Athletics - NCAA, thank you for donating tickets to Vet Tix. I am lucky that I am able to live near my best friend, who I was in Fallujah with, and thanks to your generous donation we were able to attend the LM Armed Forces Bowl together. While we wish that Navy would have pulled off the win, the experience we had made it worthwhile. Thank you very much and I hope that next year others may get to have this same experience.
