My name is Gigi Kail and I am a Gold Star Spouse. My husband COL Eric G. Kail died of cancer related to his service in Operation Desert Storm. Our son attended Texas A&M but Eric passed away in 2013 before Jake graduated in 2015. One of the things Eric loved almost more than me was football. Last night we felt him cheering along beside us. I want to thank the Houston Texans for donating tickets and making it possible for my son, daughter and me to attend the Texas Bowl last night. It was an experience we will never forget. Not only were the seats amazing but it was an incredible show of true Texas spirit as our Aggies defeated OSU! As a mom, one of my greatest joys is spending quality time with my kids, and this was an awesome time for us to yell, laugh and cheer together. Thank you so much for your generosity! P.S. We were lucky enough to win a pair of tickets to the Texas Bowl to watch our Fighting Texas Aggies earn a bowl win at home at the awesome NRG Stadium. The seats were fantastic and right in the mix of all the action, we couldn't have been more pleased. What a great way to spend our post holiday time and close out an awesome year in 2019. I'd like to thank Vet Tix and the Houston Texans for making this memory possible. We are grateful that there are programs and sponsors such as yourselves that support veterans and their families in this way. We hope to be chosen for a event again in the future and we will do our part via donations to help ensure that others like ourselves can have the same opportunity.
