Past Hero's Wishes
My name is SSgt Wallace Fanene. I was injured by an IED while walking on patrol in a small Iraqi village. As a result of the blast I lost my right leg and right arm and after being deployed for over a year, I found myself waking up to the voice of my wife. Life has since been full of ups and downs and with the stress of dealing with my own issues, it is my family that has always been there to keep me grounded. Since recovering from my injuries I've returned to surfing, committed myself to a cross-fit journey, became a college student, revived a life of adventure through the outdoors and found life meaning in raising my two children. Life isn't easy missing two limbs but I thank God everyday for the opportunity to live each day for the people around me. The month of June is a very special month in my family, as we celebrate both the birthday of my youngest child as well as my own birthday. My wish is to take my family to Disneyland. I hope you choose to support our wish and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My name is Lt Col Troy Dupont. I have served in the Air Force for 19 years and spent over three of them on deployments. I have just returned from my 5th deployment; a long 1-year separation from my family. Upon redeployment, I received orders to move overseas within 2 months. My wish is for a family vacation to Disneyland in May 2017. I am requesting (6) Park Hopper passes. We are looking to create one last memory in the US and surprise our 4 children (Eli, Evelyn, Emilia, & Edison... the E-team) with a trip to Disneyland before we have to head to port. My family has sacrificed so much over the years, and I am appreciative of any donations provided. The cost of moving overseas is very high and your generosity will truly help us offset the cost of this dream vacation. God bless!

In 2004, I suffered a severe head injury from an accident that resulted from chronic fatigue doing the mission. I thought I was going to die, but after I survived, I gained a better appreciation for taking time for family and living in the present. Last summer VetTix generously supported my family with a trip to Disneyland after a one year deployment and enroute to an overseas assignment. After 6 deployments, my family was able to take a vacation that we will never forget! It was especially special for my 2 children that suffer from social disorders. I am a regular supporter to charities like this, but none has impressed me as much as VetTix. They have a permanent spot in my CFC contributions portfolio and I will never forget what they did for my family. Thank you to all of you that joined VetTix in supporting our wish!

My name is US Air Force Chaplain, James Armstrong. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months. I return from the AOR in April and hope to go to Florida with my family in May to reconnect. This year is especially hard as my two kids will be leaving home for college. I essentially lost their last year at home with them. My wish is to take my family to swim with the dolphins at the Discovery Cove in Orlando, FL.

I believe experiencing adventures together are what helps build strong families, and your organization provides a way to do that during the most needed time in a military family - post-deployment. These getaways help families reconnect away from the day to day and helps them build memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. My name is Donna Cutchall. My sons and I lost the greatest man in our lives 12 years ago in Iraq. My sons were 4 and 6 years old when it happened. All of us had talked about making plans to go to Disney World when he got back home, but that never happened. My sons now are 16 and 18 and still to this day want to go. My wish is to take my boys to Disney World. We are unable to go because of my current income. I just lost my sons social security money and lost my job. Out of all the wishes we could request, this one would help us feel more complete. Doing what we would have done if SSGT Christopher Cutchall were still alive.

My name is SSG Williams Carlton Anthony. In 2009 I bought tickets to Wrestlemania 2010 but had to give them away because of deployment. My wish is to go to 2017 Wrestlemania, which is being held in Orlando and my sons who are both wrestling fans have asked me to go. I have been watching WWE since 1984 and have never been fortunate enough to attend a live event. It would mean the world to me to take my boys as a surprise. I end my current deployment and return stateside in February.

My name is 1Lt. Kevin D. Ryan. As the first person in my family to join the military, it was very hard for them when I left for training to go overseas. My father has never been to a Blackhawks game, and I thought this would be a great way of saying thank you to him and my brothers for putting up with all the stress that comes with knowing your son/brother is deployed in a combat zone.

I am SGT Giovanni Jimenez. I have the opportunity to take leave in March of 2017 and I am hoping for the opportunity to see the hit musical Hamilton while visiting New York City. This musical was wildly popular while I was deployed to Kuwait and I always imagined that I would take my wife to see it when I returned home. I quickly discovered how difficult it is to obtain tickets to this sensational show. I am hoping that Vet Tix will allow me to have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this show. I could not believe my wish was granted and I would get to see this award winning performance on Broadway. To my great surprise, the tickets I received were in the orchestra section. I never imagined I would be so close to the action! It is difficult to put into words what it was like witnessing this performance, it blew us away. The story is expertly written and the music is captivating. Without a doubt, this performance was the highlight of my trip to New York and I will never forget this experience. My name is 1st Lieutenant Keith Hutchison. My wife and I will be married 1 year in March, and will be coming off of our first deployment as well. I am a Combat Systems Officer (CSO) for JSTARS and will be going on my first deployment this fall to Al Udeid. This is going to be a super trying time on our marriage, and the first of many deployments. I'd love to give her a trip to DisneyWorld as a way to brighten up life after the deployment and reintegration. She's always wanted to go to Harry Potter World, and loves Disney as well so this trip would mean the world to us! I grew up in the military, so am used to the deployment and military orders life, whereas she isn't. So any way I can make this less of a trying time on her, the better and getting this wish fulfilled would be a great way to do that! Thanks for considering donating to our wish!
