Current Hero's Wishes
Hello, my name is David and I am writing this asking for your help to fulfill a family trip to help celebrate our retirement from the Military. I enlisted in the military in 2004 and over the past 20 years of service, 14 of those have been in special operations. My career has taken me on 16 combat deployments, resulting in many missed holidays, birthdays, and significant family events. My service has been the honor of my life, but now I am seeking support for a family trip to help mend those missed moments and reconnect with my loved ones. We are seeking a 5-day 3 park pass to Universal Studios Orlando. Now that my kids are tall enough to ride anything, we looking forward to enjoying every attraction the park has to offer. Thanks!

Hello, my name is Stephanie. I’m 29 years old and currently serving in the Army. Over the course of my career, I’ve had one overseas deployment that changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. During that deployment, my family endured unimaginable pain. We lost a loved one, and I received the devastating news that my daughter had been a victim of S/A at the hands of someone we trusted. Around the same time, my wife’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Being away from my family during such a difficult time was one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced. I couldn’t be there to support them when they needed me most, and that weighs heavy on my heart. All I want now is to give my little girl a moment of happiness, a chance to feel like a carefree child again. Taking her to the happiest place on earth is a small dream, but one I believe she deserves after everything she’s been through. While I know this won’t fix what has happened, I hope it can bring a smile to her face and create a precious memory for her to hold onto. If you’re able to support us in making this dream come true, my family and I would be forever grateful. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to giving her this special experience. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer.

Our family is so very grateful to all of the donors who made this trip happen. Thank you to Jennifer, Colby, Tim, Karen, and especially Leslie and Thomas! This kids has such a fun time. We had heavy rain on Tuesday, which meant that instead of being one of the busiest days of the year, the Magic Kingdom was nearly empty (it was a warm rain and we were prepared with head-to-toe gore tex and a stroller cover). Our oldest daughter cannot stop talking about meeting Ariel, her favorite princess. Our son is a die hard Star Wars fan, and loved meeting the characters and riding on Star Tours. My wife and I are so happy that we were able to spend a few days at Disney World with our kids. The weather was warm and it was good to get away from the cold winter. Thank you to all the donors, and thank you Vet Tix! God bless everyone who made this possible, and God bless America!

I like to thank Vet Tix and the people who donated though the Hero's Wish program. Especially The NY Yankees For the great seats I had for Myself and my family. They treated me special. This program shows Veterans that people do care about us. It made me feel good I also met a great friend at the game who helped make this dream come true thanks Joe. It will be a long time before I can forget this day I got to see my favorite player Derek Jeter play and the NY Yankees won what more can you ask for thank you Vet Tix.

I wish I could share more pictures! Words can not express the impact you provided my family this summer. To be able to visit four Disney World Theme Parks was truly a dream come true. My daughter, who is autistic, actually talked to someone (Princess Ariel) other than my wife and I, for the first time since she was 2! My 2 children and I want to say a big thank you to Vet Tix, and to all of the donors who helped make our wish come true. We had an amazing time at Disney World. My daughter Carson got to meet almost all of the princesses, and my son loved riding all of the rides. Without all of your help we would have never been able to go. It was such an amazing experience and I loved seeing the huge smiles on my kids faces. I can not possibly thank all of you enough.

This event was the first one I have been to since being severely injured and losing my men on 22 April 2011. I had one of the best times of my life.
