I have been a basketball fan my whole life. I have been to several WNBA games, but I have never once seen LeBron James play in person. He came into the league the same year I went to war, and following his career has been one of the constants through everything that came after. My Hero's Wish is two tickets to see the Los Angeles Lakers play the Philadelphia 76ers on March 4, 2027, hopefully watching LeBron in a Sixers uniform against his former team. I would take my partner, Tasha, who has stood beside me through all of it. I am having back surgery in October 2026, and I will be fully recovered and cleared well before March. Standing in that arena and seeing one of the greatest to ever play, while I still have the chance, would be a once-in-a-lifetime memory for the two of us.
