Many thanks to the Phoenix Symphony for the donation of tickets to West Side Story. Thanks!! Thanks!! What a delightful evening we had!! The performance was enchanting! And being in the audience for the premiere performance was fabulous!! I do have to say that I enjoyed all the voices and the symphony except I was not enthralled with Maria voice. She, to me, did not appear to fit the image or her part and her vocals did not match the character she played. I felt the second female role may have played the part better. Again, that is my thoughts and the thoughts of all those along with me. But what a grand evening it was. We would not have been able to attend this event without the donation of tickets. Thanks for sharing your music with us!!
