Thank you, Vet Tix, Mesa Amphitheatre, TPR (presenter), Chris Tomlin's Worship Under The Stars (and his incredible band), SE Worship (opening worship team from Florida), Police and Security, all sponsors, partners, event coordinators, and organizers, audio/visual/lighting/sound techs, stage hands and road crews, cooks, food and beverage servers, cleaning crew, parking attendants, ticketers, and ushers, everyone I didn't mention, and your fantastic staffs for a stupendous evening and two remarkable concerts! This was our second visit to the Mesa Amphitheatre but our first time seeing/hearing Chris Tomlin in concert. It is a very cool place! There were food and beverage stations on both sides of the grounds. Typically, the amphitheater has a cascading lawn, but chairs were set up for this show. We had General Admission tickets, but we were able to sit by Section 200, center right facing the stage, which was perfect. The weather was gorgeous, although a bit humid, but we were out in the open under the stars. You can't beat that! According to christomlin.com: "Chris Tomlin, one of the most successful Christian touring artists known for selling out concerts worldwide, launches the second season of his first-of-its-kind concert series "Worship Under The Stars" after such a massively successful inaugural year in 2025. The "Worship Under The Stars" concert series will again take place in three breathtaking and hand-selected venues including The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (Sept 11); The Mesa Amphitheatre in Phoenix, AZ (Sept 12) and The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego (Sept 13). "One of the things I love about worship is it causes us to lift our eyes off of ourselves for a minute… to remember the goodness of God, the greatness of God, and the power of God,” shared Chris. "Especially when we’re in His creation and you see the beauty around you. You lift your eyes, you see the stars, and you’re reminded of His goodness in a time where we need it more than ever." "Worship Under The Stars" is presented by TPR." We were quite familiar with Chris' music, and he did exactly as he described above. It is a staple for worship music in many churches, so much so we knew every song. After all, we had been singing his music for thirty years. What surprised the four of us though, my wife and our two friends, is we didn't realize some of his earlier music, from when he was just starting out, was actually his. We attributed it to other artists. In any case, it's all good. We didn't feel as though we were at a concert being entertained at all, which is how we wanted it. There is a genuineness about Chris that flows from his heart through his music. It’s as though he's worshipping God, and you just happen to be there witnessing the experience. We were in a praise and worship service unto God for over two and a half hours, except for the in between time of changing the bands. We were laughing, crying, clapping and lifting our hands, and raising our voices to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because The King is Still The King (the title of Chris' latest hit and album)! All in all, it was one of the best, most sacred events I had ever attended. Even the people behaved differently, which you would expect since most were Christians, but the place was packed since it was sold out, and I can tell you, on Sunday mornings, leaving church, that fact doesn't mean much. Last night was different though. It was special. It was truly transformative and you had a big part in that for which I am grateful! Again, thank you, Vet Tix, Mesa Amphitheatre, TPR (presenter), Chris Tomlin's Worship Under The Stars (and his amazing band), SE Worship (opening worship team from Florida), Police and Security, all sponsors, partners, event coordinators, and organizers, audio/visual/lighting/sound techs, stage hands and road crews, cooks, food and beverage servers, parking attendants, ticketers, and ushers, everyone I missed, and your superb teams for a life-changing experience. We, active military personnel, veterans, first responders, our families and friends, genuinely appreciate all you do for us, our communities, and our blessed nation! You are truly life savers, and you rock! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sincerely, Chuck
