At times like these, I often reflect back to the anxiety I had when boarding the "Freedom Bird" to fly home from my very first deployment for Dessert Storm. Prior to that conflict, the previous experience of soldiers returning home was from the Vietnam era, which was not positive, and I feared that we as a country had forgotten what a sacrifice it was to go off to war. As we were preparing to depart, they played on the airplanes entertainment system the music video of "Voices that care", and I knew things were going to be alright. Since those days, I have been amazed and eternally proud of the continual outpouring of support for those that serve. We are so proud to receive these gifted tickets as a symbol from a proud and grateful nation. Thank you for your charity.
