New Village Arts
Dear Vet Tix Team and New Village Arts, Thank you so much for the tickets to see RENT on November 20 at the New Village Arts theater. Your generosity gave me an unforgettable evening — one filled with music, emotion, and a renewed reminder to choose love over fear. Watching Jonathan Larson’s powerful story performed in the intimate setting of New Village Arts made every moment feel immediate and personal. The cast’s energy and the production’s sincerity brought home why RENT has inspired audiences for over a quarter of a century: it’s a celebration of friendship, courage, and living without regret. The musical’s year-in-the-life portrait of a diverse group of artists and friends struggling to follow their dreams struck a deep chord with me. Hearing those familiar lines and songs live — the fierce devotion to creativity, the refusal to sell out, and the insistence on love and connection even in hard times — was both healing and joyful. RENT truly is more than a show; it’s a cultural touchstone and a source of strength for so many, and I felt honored to experience it in Carlsbad Village. The show was worth the trip on a rainy Thursday night. Thank you again for making this possible. Your support not only provided a fantastic evening of theatre, but also the chance to be reminded of what matters most: love, community, and living boldly, without regret. With gratitude, Melissa
