When I was a grad student at Vandy in the early 1970s, we weren't used to the sort of win we saw yesterday, or to national rankings. Mercy! The game was thrilling. And the stadium was awesome. What a pleasure to attend and bring along a couple of newlyweds (August 30 wedding) who will be heading out as missionaries to NAME (North Africa/Middle East) in April. Both are Yankees (Ohio and Michigan), and it was fun to show them how it's done in the SEC. And it was gratifying to talk with the VetTix recipients around us. One of the wives said it was her first time to attend a college football game. What a beginning for her. Fabulous Commodore performance. Thanks, Vanderbilt, from a 1974 PhD.
