My wife Lin and I at the Citrus Bowl Fan Fest. A great experience. The Citrus Bowl is an efficiently managed and comfortable venue. Better than some NFL stadiums! At the Citrus Bowl for the University of South Carolina vs Illinois encounter. Doing a little tailgating and got into a conversation with the two ladies parked next to us, Gamecocks of course. Their kids are in the band. Got to talking....she tells me her dad was a general surgeon in the ARMY. I said last name. She said Mylander. I said not Speedy Mylander. Can you believe it, was her father!!!!!!! I scrubbed with him at Moncrief hospital Ft Jackson!!! Col Mylander MD could do an open cholecystectomy, cut to last stitch in 11 mins!!!’ That was 1981/82!I hugged her.
