Thank You, University of Florida for your generous donation of tickets to Vet Tix to gift Veterans & their families tickets to the Gators vs Ole Miss game. We were fortunate to receive 3 for our family. Our daughter & future Florida Grad, Scarlett, had the best time. During Gator Walk, the cheerleaders were so sweet to her, especially Miss Katie! Scarlett had a blast cheering for & high fiving the band members & football players. However, I'm pretty sure the hugs from Albert & Alberta were her favorite. A really special moment for our family was after the third quarter when I Won't Back Down was played. My wife got to ring the bell on June 20, 2024. She chose I Won't Back Down as her song played at completion of radiation & told me she was looking forward to hearing it played at a Gator home game. This was our family's first time hearing it at the stadium since her diagnosis. Of course, the cherry to this great family day was our Gators beating Ole Miss.
