Thank you, Vet Tix, Veteran Tickets Foundation Purchases, Arizona Diamondbacks, Major League Baseball, Chase Field, San Diego Padres, the Police, Security, vendors, and your great staffs for a fun afternoon. Chase Field is a fantastic stadium. We had awesome seats in Section 305, Row 22 on the right side overlooking the entire field. The roof was closed, and the atmosphere was a little warm, but, hey! The variety of food and beverages inside is a bonus. My friends and I chowed down on a number of vittles. We were hungry. Today, one station had my Simply Spiked Peach. Yum yum! The National Anthem was performed by Bobby Freeman on the organ and sung by the fans. Freeman also played the organ throughout the game, and then he led the fans during the 7th Inning Stretch. DJ Rokkwilder in the DJ Booth, representing Casamigo's Tequila, kept those discs turning and the young Rally-Backs beauties (with whom I took a pic) dancing and cheering. Yesterday marked the day of this season the 60,000,000th fan walked through the gates. Wow! Today was Geraldo Perdomo's T-shirt Day! The first 20,000 fans got one, which was cool. During the game, there were plenty of family activities and festivities, and people and groups were honored, such as: Stone Cold Recipients and Birthday Wishes; Hispanic Recognition; Memorials for D-Backs' Family Members, MLB Players, and Fans Who Passed Away; Husband and Wife Law Team (Mark and Alexis Breyer); Chevrolet Play Ball Kids; Whataburger Whatafan Message Board; Hot Dog Derby (Mustard won); Hondo Rodeo Fest T-shirt Toss; Dylan Lee's Bachelor Party; Cox Legends Race (Mark Grace, Matt Williams, Randy Johnson, and Luis Gonzalez; Gracie won); Staff Thank Yous; Budweiser Cheers to Our Heros (military); multiple fan cams; APS Electric Moments; D-backs 50/50 Charity Raffle (over $75,000), etc. The Padres struck first by scoring one run at the top of the 2nd inning. The D-backs returned fire by rallying six runs in the bottom of the 4th, including a 443-feet home run rocket by Marte that reached the second deck in left field dropping into Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. It was the hardest hit ball I believe I've ever seen. The D-Backs picked up another in the 5th. The Padres picked up one more in the 6th. The D-Backs got another in the 6th as well. Suarez topped off with a home run in the 7th. Grichuk hit a two-run homer in the 8th. Walker got hit with two pitches. The D-Back's bats were on fire, and their mound froze the opposing batters. The D-Backs ended up winning 11 to 2. Not a bad way to go out your last regular season game of the year. What an exciting game! Again, thank you, Vet Tix, Veteran Tickets Foundation Purchases, Arizona Diamondbacks, Major League Baseball, Chase Field, San Diego Padres, the Police, Security, vendors, promoters, coordinators, and your stupendous teams for making people happy. We, active military personnel, veterans, first responders, our families and friends, truly appreciate all you do for us, our communities, and our blessed nation! You rock! Sincerely, Chuck
