San Diego Opera
Wow! What a great time we had at the San Diego Civic Theatre attending the opera, "La Traviata" put on by the San Diego Opera company. We'd like to thank the gracious staff at the theater, and congratulate the cast and crew of the show for putting on an amazing event. The story was so engaging that we were mesmerized by the tremendous voices of the singers, including Corinne Winters as the tragic star 'Violetta.' The velvety-voiced, but booming baritone Stephen Powell was fantastic as well. The scenery and production were perfectly staged and directed by Marta Domingo, wife of Placido Domingo, and her talent and experience were on full display. The staff and volunteers of the Civic Theatre were the real stars, though, as they went out of their way to welcome and accommodate the audience, so please pass along my thanks to them! Thanks also to the Veterans Tickets Foundation for continuing to partner with wonderful venues like the San Diego Theatres Group to give us Vets a chance to experience these wonderful cultural events.
