Thank you, Vet Tix, Major League Baseball, Chase Field, Arizona Diamondbacks, San Francisco Giants, the Police, Security, vendors, and your great staffs for a fun evening. Chase Field is such an awesome stadium. We had fantastic seats in Section 307 overlooking first base. The roof was closed, but the atmosphere was pleasant. The wide variety of food and beverage vendors inside the stadium is a huge plus, and the items are reasonably priced compared to many parks. I scarfed down on a foot long dog and a Simply Spiked Lemonade. Yummy! The game was live from the first inning. The D-Back's bats were hot. They scored two runs in the second inning. The Giants heated up as well. By the top of the ninth, both teams had seven hits and were tied at 2 runs. Pavin Smith homered in the bottom of the 9th. The D-Backs went on to win 4 to 2. Fielding was excellent for each club! I was ambivalent having lived for 21 years in the Bay Area after my military service. During the game, there were plenty of family activities and festivities, and people and groups were honored, such as D-backs 50/50 Charity Raffle, Fan Cams, Hot Dog Derby (Relish won), Casamigo's DJ Cam, WhataBurger WhataFan Messages and T-Shirt Toss, State Farm Sing Along, Cold Stone Celebration Messages, Budweiser Cheers to Our Heros, Cox Legends Race (Mark Grace, Matt Williams, Randy Johnson, and Luis Gonzalez; Gonzo won), Caesar's Sports Book Advanced Stats, Muscle Cam, New Era Cap Shuffle, aps Electric Moments, etc. James "Rambo" Smith, representing the U. S. Army, performed a fantasticly smooth rendering of the National Anthem. Thank you, sir! Lourdes Gurriel, Jr., hit his 100th home run. Congrats, brother! The grandson, Mike Yastrzemski, of my favorite all-time player, Carl Yastrzemski, Hall of Famer and Triple Crown winner, of my home team, the Boston Red Sox, plays for the Giants. That is special! Again, thank you, Vet Tix, Major League Baseball, Chase Field, Arizona Diamondbacks, San Francisco Giants, the Police, Security, vendors, promoters, coordinators, and your stupendous teams for bringing such joy to people.
