Dear Vet Tix Donor, My brothers and I have been UGA DAWG fans for all of our lives, but we have never been to a game together much less a bowl game, so this was an awesome gift from you and Vet Tix. I live in NC, and I am Navy 100% combat disabled Vet. My youngest brother lives in GA and is an Army 100% combat disabled Vet. My 2nd and oldest brother lives in FL and although not a Vet he is a big supporter who seeks to understand. It is rare for us to get together and so again this was an awesome gift from Vet Tix, but it almost didn't happen. My wife, who is also a disabled Marine Vet, was slated to join us and frankly help us get it all done--she is tough and organized. Unfortunately, she injured her foot the day before the game, but my brothers were still on tap to get it done. So, on game day I was on a plane to FL to meet the GA and FL brothers, but unfortunately even before I or he could get in the air my Army brother had a panic attack about crowds and more (this isn't uncommon for him, but he thought he could work through it.). So, I arrived in FL and after some discussion we decided to push on without him, and I am sure glad we did. This opportunity taught my older brother more about what vets suffer and particularly his own little brother. It was a seminal moment in our relationships, and provided insight for my non-vet brother who has now seen firsthand something he had only seen in a distance before. This provided an enormous amount of understanding and connection that has been hard to achieve in the past. Plus, we now intend to do more. When we arrived, we livestreamed my GA brother and wife to the game until it was out of hand in the early 3rd. Plus, my FL brother, who is the older brother, and I got to connect as well. What is best we got to enjoy the game of our lifetime with my Army brother on one phone and Marine wife on another phone Cheering Go Dawgs!!! It didn't turn out as planned and much in our lives does not, but there turned out to be great value in your gift that was a GREAT WIN for the Dawgs, but even more so for my brothers and I. Thanks Vet Tix Donor and Vet Tix Semper Fi.
