University of Washington Huskies
I would like to thank the University of Washington Huskies for allowing myself and my brother to see the Huskies do battle with the Utah Utes this past weekend. I am a former U.S. Navy sailor of ten years. I served aboard the U.S.S. Nimitz (stationed in Bremerton just across the Sound for much of my time spent onboard), and also served at (former) Naval Station Roosevelt Roads. The event I chose was serendipitously on Veteran's Day weekend even. I was able to take to my brother who is a very fiercely proud UW graduate, now currently living in Arizona. The game was kicked off by two fantastic flyovers, which having been stationed on an aircraft carrier, I very much appreciated. The game was spectacular, Set in the northwest wind and rain, it really didn't disappoint. Having never been to Husky stadium I was completely impressed by its beauty and setting. The victory didn't hurt either. Thank you so much for this opportunity. The time spent around the game and the game itself will be a lasting memory my brother and I will treasure forever. This service means a great deal to those who have benefited from it, and I hope this message conveys my real and deep appreciation.
