Subject: A Heartfelt Thank You for a Mesmerizing Evening with Isata Kanneh-Mason Dear San Francisco Performances Team, I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to witness the incredible Isata Kanneh-Mason in concert at the Herbst Theater last night. As a disabled veteran, such experiences are a source of joy and a profound reminder of the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. Isata, a Leonard Bernstein and Opus Klassik Award winner for best young artist, has once again demonstrated why she is celebrated on the global stage. Her return to San Francisco Performances was nothing short of magical, continuing to move and inspire audiences with her remarkable talent and emotive performances. Her ability to play with unreserved power, thundering forth full-bodied chords that combine sonorous weight and perfectly rounded edges, is truly awe-inspiring. The selection of pieces performed last night, including HAYDN: Piano Sonata No. 60 in C Major, Hob. XVI/50, FANNY MENDELSSOHN: Easter Sonata, ROBERT SCHUMANN: Kinderszenen, Op. 15, and CHOPIN: Piano Sonata No. 3 in B Minor, Op. 58, took us on a sublime musical journey. Each note, each emotive expression through her fingers, spoke to the audience, creating a collective experience that was both uplifting and deeply moving. Your generosity in providing tickets for such an event is immensely appreciated. It was not merely a concert but a soul-stirring experience that will linger in my memory for years. Through such acts of kindness, San Francisco Performances ensures that the arts remain accessible and inclusive, touching lives in the most beautiful ways. Once again, thank you for this wonderful gift of music and emotion. I am truly grateful for the experience and look forward to future performances that continue to enrich our spirits and celebrate the boundless talent of artists like Isata Kanneh-Mason.
