12th Man Foundation Makes Combat Veterans Happy!!!! My name is Ruben, from Conroe. I took advantage of the ticket offering for the Aggies vs Lobos game. My nephew Gary Smidt, '15, a Captain in the National Guard, was home from the border for the weekend, and nor I or his daughter had been to a game before. So I was able to obtain four tickets for myself, Gary, his wife Megan, '15, and their daughter Evie, 3 yrs old. I appreciated the atmosphere of the game and the nearby fans. I talked with a number of Combat Veterans who sat around my area. We all wore some sort of military identifier, some of which were small, and thanked each other for their service. The comradery was off the charts, and 12th Man Foundation was mentioned in appreciation with several conversations. I'm a UH Grad '99, but I gladly helped my nephew with his tuition, so I might wear Cougar Red, but I bleed Aggie Maroon. We all enjoyed the game. It was a great feeling leaving the stadium with such an amazing win. Thanks Again 12th Man Foundation!!!
