Live Nation
I just want to express my most sincere thanks to LIve Nation and White River Amphitheater. I haven't been to see a live show in many years and it was a real privilege to see Neil Young perform an acoustic show. I've always loved his music and last saw him live decades ago in Seattle. Chris Pierce opened the show for Neil and his music was compelling and beautiful. His themes were about the past and the present, touching on many of the events for people of color that we are often ashamed to talk about, much less consider. He also sang of how our justice system is two-tiered for the rich and poor. It was a short engrossing set, with great singing, timely in today's world. Neil played songs I had never heard before and a few of his big hits. I was carried away by the experience. I appreciate live performances so much. It filled my heart with joy to see 77 year old Neil Young still wanting to play, tour and be with us in a one on one performance. Neil's voice is still strong and he played an assortment of guitars, harmonicas, pianos, and even an old pipe organ. He talked about the history of each and every instrument he played, which only added to the experience. It was like going to living rock history school with a master of the genre. The show was wonderful, the venue well laid out and the staff was helpful in every way. Keep on Rockin' in the Free World Neil Young. I love you and appreciate you! Thank you White River Amphitheater for your amazing staff and venue! Again, my heartfelt thanks to Live Nation for providing a transcendent experience to this disabled Veteran.
