Many thanks to the Pabst Theater Group and Vet Tix for the tickets to see Alice Cooper at the historic Miller High Life Theatre! A huge thanks also to Laura in Willcall for the complimentary seating upgrade! Been wanting to visit this theater for a long time. Formerly the Milwaukee Theatre and before that, the Milwaukee Auditorium. Built in 1909, history buffs will remember it as the sight of Teddy Roosevelt's speech in 1912, immediately following an assassination attempt across the street at the Gilpatrick Hotel. Roosevelt was shot in the chest, but the bullet first penetrated his steel eyeglass case and the 50 page text of his speech (folded over in his pocket). It lodged in his chest just bellow the surface. For 90 minutes, he gave his speech while blood continued to drain from the wound. Always been a fan of Teddy Roosevelt. Thanks again for an awesome night!
