Thank you, Vet Tix, Major League Baseball, Chase Field, Arizona Diamondbacks, Houston Astros, the Police, Security, vendors, and your great staffs for a fun evening. Chase Field is such an awesome stadium. We had fantastic seats in Section 311, overlooking first base. The roof was closed, but the atmosphere was pleasant. The wide variety of food and beverage vendors inside the stadium is a huge plus, and the items are reasonably priced compared to many parks. It is Fan Appreciation Weekend, so everyone received a D-Backs 25th Anniversary towel. Various high school choirs and the Boy Scouts sang the National Anthem so beautifully. During the game, there were plenty of family activities, festivities, people and groups honored, such as AZ's right fielder Corbin Carroll (#7), T-shirt Toss, the Hot Dog Derby (Mustard won), Talking Stick Resort Card Match Game, Whataburger Fry Shuffle, Talking Stick 2 Night Stay, Budweiser Cheers to Our Heros (Military), Cox Legends Race (Mark Grace, Matt Williams, Randy Johnson, and Luis Gonzalez; RJ won), D-Backs 50/50 Charity Raffle ($34,444 to the winner), etc. There were tons of giveaways tonight. AZ's Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (#12) made some awesome catches in left field in the first inning. The Astros struck first scoring 1 run in the fourth inning. The D-Backs left a number of men on base. It was a pitching duel between the two teams, mostly putting the ball in play. The bats were dead. The D-Backs lost 1-0, but when it was announced they clinched a playoff spot due to the Cardinals also losing, the fans went crazy. We waved our towels like mad throughout the game. Again, thank you, Vet Tix, Major League Baseball, Chase Field, Arizona Diamondbacks, Houston Astros, the Police, Security, vendors, promoters, coordinators, and your amazing teams. We, active military personnel, veterans, first responders, our families and friends, truly appreciate all you do for us, our communities, and our blessed nation! You rock! Sincerely, Chuck
