Thank you, Vet Tix, Vet Flicks, Harkins Theatres, and your great staffs, for a fantastic early evening. It was our first visit to Harkins Theatres, but it will not be our last. That place is the bomb! The food, snacks, and beverages are delicious and reasonably priced. The showrooms are amazing, especially with those fully reclining seats. My wife and I felt like we were traveling in First Class. We had terrific seats, which we were able to select, in Section F, 10 and 11, about half way up and slightly right of center. Perfect! On top of all this, it was a preview showing. You can't beat that! What can I say about The Covenant? Oh...my...word...what an intensely incredible movie! My heart raced, my stomach was in knots, I felt as though I were in combat, and I experienced the frustrations of U.S. Army Sergeant John Kinley, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, and Afghan interpreter Ahmed, played by Dar Salim. I could not help but repeatedly tear up given the circumstances portrayed. The acting, particularly by Gyllenhaal and Salim, is Oscarworthy, as well as is the movie. Guy Ritchie certainly hit the proverbial Grand Slam with this one. I bid them all the best at the Awards Ceremonies! By the way, I met new friends, David, a former Marine, and his wife. We hit it off and are going to get together. What is funny is we moved to Arizona from Oregon. His wife's brother is married to a lady from Massachusetts, which is where I am originally from. What a small world! Again, thank you, Vet Tix, Vet Flicks, Harkins Theatres, and your stupendous teams for such a worthwhile event. We, active duty personnel, veterans, first responders, family members, and friends, are grateful for all you do for us, our communities, and this nation. You truly are life savers, whether or not you realize it! Sincerely, Chuck
