Dear San Francisco Performances, I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the tickets to tonight's Lise de la Salle performance at Herbst Theater. As a disabled veteran, I can't begin to tell you how much this experience has uplifted my spirits and provided a much-needed escape. Lise de la Salle's riveting performance style and boundless energy captivated me from the moment she took the stage. The Washington Post was right in saying that "for much of the concert, the audience had to remember to breathe... the exhilaration didn't let up for a second until her hands came off the keyboard." I wholeheartedly agree; her passion and virtuosity were truly awe-inspiring. The program was exceptional, featuring masterpieces such as ALBÉNIZ's Cantos da España, Opus 232, LISZT's Mephisto Waltz No. 1, S. 514 "The Dance in the Village Inn" and Piano Sonata in B Minor, S. 178, as well as GINASTERA's Dansas Argentinas, Opus 2. Each piece was expertly delivered, transporting me to new emotional heights and allowing me to rediscover the transformative power of music. The generous gift of these tickets has made a significant impact on me, and I will forever cherish the memories of this unforgettable evening. Thank you, San Francisco Performances, for your commitment to veterans and for providing us with opportunities to enjoy world-class performances. Your kindness has made a difference in my life, and I am incredibly grateful for your support. Sincerely, Maury "Mack" McFadden LCDR, USCG (Ret.)
