Thank you, VetTix, Highlands Church, Arizona Musicfest, Gunhild Carling, the Arizona Musicfest Big Band, and your crews and fantastic staffs for such a great show! It was so much more than just a concert! What a fun, electrifying performance! Swedish musical sensation, Gunhild Carling, is absolutely incredible. She sings, plays the trumpet, trombone, harmonica, oboe, harp, flute, recorder, and jazz bagpipes, and she juggles and tap and jazz dances. At one point in the show, she played three trumpets at the same time. On another occasion, she played a trumpet, holding it with only her mouth, while looking up in the air, as she played the bass. She showcased the varying styles of five trombone players. She had the audience laughing, singing, moaning, and dancing. She is funny, witty, ad libs, improvises, talks a mile a minute, flits all over the place, displays a command presence while captivating the band and audience, and she is a prolific song writer. Gunhild is a one-woman show of unsurpassed talent, and she is the Queen of Jazz and Swing. Her music has a welcoming 1940s feel, and her show is reminiscent of the pleasant days of vaudeville. She is quite the fire plug with more energy than ten Energizer Bunnies. I loved hearing about her historical journey. I can sum her up with one word...magnificent! She is a must-see act! The dance troup was a huge plus, and the Arizona Musicfest Big Band was amazingly remarkable. This was our sixth visit to Highlands Church, which is a truly gorgeous campus. The auditorium configuration is awesome. We had stupendous seats to the rear and slight left of the stage with a direct view of it. The venue has ample restrooms and a decent, reasonably-priced snack bar. Again, thank you, VetTix, Highlands Church, Arizona Musicfest, Gunhild Carling, the Arizona Musicfest Big Band, and your crews and tremendous staffs for putting on such a marvelous event. My family, friends, and I are eternally grateful! I am especially thankful for all you do for veterans. You rock! Sincerely, Chuck
