As a gold star family, sometimes we feel a little forgotten. After the flag is folded & handed to us we try to find a "new normal" without our service member. As the surviving parent, finding new experiences to connect with the kids to process this "new normal" can be a challenge. Future financial unknowns leads me to make cuts where I need to, which most of time are fun experiences. I haven't taken my kids on a vacation in over 5 years with 2 kids in college looming (this will be an 8 year struggle for me) and these types of tickets allow me to have "mini vacations" at these experiences. Thankful that Vettix.com includes gold star families in their program. Grateful that donors have offered the opportunity to create NEW life memories. Working towards filling my family's bad memories with GREAT memories... one day, event, game at a time. Thank you for the football game tickets :-)
