On Friday July 8th, my good friend and I went to see Slipknot and Marilyn Manson. Manson came on first and played for about 45 minutes. I felt that his set was tame compared to years past. He toned it down, I'm guessing to Connecticuts laws. But, the song selection was very good and the crowd was definitely into it. The main act was Slipknot. This years show featured a different stage show than last. There was less theatrics, but more lighting and crowd interaction. Cory Taylor was in fine form. I would like to thank VetTix and Live Nation for giving my buddy and myself a great night of rock before he leaves this week for a tour in the desert fighting the war on terrorism. Thats what I will remember most about this show, my best friend and myself rocking out. Thanks again, its times like these that are special, for some its more than a concert, but a last bit of normalcy before things get wild and crazy in the desert defending our Nations freedom and fighting for something that you believe in.
