Beaver Productions - Out of Business
Dear Beaver Productions, My name is Brian Reedy. I am a 100% disabled veteran who has lost a lot in the last two years. Your generous donation afforded me n opportunity that I would not have undertaken otherwise. You see, over two years ago I lost my amazing wife, the love of my life, to metastatic breast cancer. The grief and depression that ensued was nearly unbearable. Having Parkinson's, I already struggled with depression. That depression was worsened by my ensuing grief and COVID isolation, I was lost for about a year. My friend Marianne, seen in the picture, is an old girlfriend from 35 years ago. She lost her spouse four years. We recently reconnected after 20 years of no contact. On one of our early dates we watched a documentary on one of our favorite artists, James Taylor. When I heard about VetTix, and saw they had an opportunity to attend a James Taylor Concert, I had to try. I used very ticket i had in hopes of getting something. Well, I soon discovered that we got tickets. James Taylor has been one of my all-time very favorites. I have listened to him for over 40 years. I never imagined that I would be at one of his concerts. Your gift is a great treasure for me and for Marianne. We had a wonderful time. James Taylor was amazing! He made the event so fun, energetic, witty, and insightful. It was an uplifting concert in so many ways. I wanted to make sure that I brought a good sign to recognize the donation and Vet Tix for organizing it. I used to be a teacher before Parkinson's took me out. So, as any good teacher would do, I laminated the logo so it would look good for the pictures. Other vets saw my laminated and colorful sign and wanted to borrow it. We took each other's pictures, shared some stories and really felt so very welcomed by everyone. We were just so happy, relaxed, and grateful with everything, and that was before the real fun and amazement began! The only significant challenge that I had was having to get up when someone would come down the row. With my Parkinson's, that got to be very challenging. Really though, it was all worth it. It was just such a fantastic evening and I am so very grateful to you for the opportunity to attend and be so uplifted by such an amazing concert! It warms my heart to know there are businesses and individuals like you out there helping to lift others up at a time when no one is free of some daunting challenges and worries these days. You generously helped us and you helped our community of veterans. I am deeply grateful and would love to return the favor in some way in the future. Just let me know. Sincerely, -Brian
