Thank you WVU, Vet Tix, Scottsdale Quarterback Club and the two individual donors that graciously donated the tickets for the Bowl game. This was an experience my daughter and I will never forget. So many first for her and I. I was born and raised in West Virginia and my daughter calls it her home home, although she has never lived there just visits to see our family. So for starters we both are huge WVU fans. This was our first chance to see them play live, I never had a chance to go to a game growing up there. It was my daughters first live football game. We live in the Phoenix metro area and do root for ASU when they play except for this game. This was the first time since 1979 these two teams played, with WVU losing the last time. We both really enjoyed the game but having this experience with her is priceless to me. She is 14 years old and I know the time is coming where she won't want to hang out with me as much and in a few years she will be going off to school and we won't have these opportunities. So being able to make this memory is something I can never truly show my appreciation for. Just know made it possible for us to create a memory that will last forever. WVU winning was the icing on the cake that made the experience so much more enjoyable. A tradition of WVU football is singing John Denvers "Country Roads" after a win. After the trophy presentation all the WVU fan gathered in the lower level cheering and started singing. Watching my daughter sing a song that means home to us with the other fans was so wonderful. I guess what I am saying in a long way is Thank you but to me just doesn't seem like it really expresses how thankful I really am. From her smile in the attached picture you can see how much fun she had.
