A big shout-out and sincere thank you to MGM Resorts for the ticket donation. We attended the amazing, Good Sam Empire Classic Central Michigan vs. Bellarmine and Gonzaga vs. UCLA - NCAA Men's Basketball on Nov 23, 2021. Event was to raise funds for my fellow brothers and sisters who honorably served in our armed forces and were wounded warriors as well. No better cause and no better matchup to see the #1 and #2 ranked Men's College Basketball teams in the nation competitively square off against each other at the beautiful TMOBILE arena. Having done many things in my 60 years on earth, this was my first ever MAJOR college Basketball event attended. Was an amazing experience, and brought out both the fun and highly competitive nature/spirit of sports in me and my guest. And, the game itself had challenges for UCLA they just could not overcome last night. Reminds me of the human side of everything we engage in as humans, and that losing is something too that you must be graceful about yet learn more about yourself (and in this case your own team) along the journey. Had it not been for the very generous ticket donation by MGM and VETTIX interface with eligible veterans like myself: linking us to opportunities to attend an event in our communities, like last night's experience? It would NOT have been possible for me to have outright purchased tickets for that event given my economic stage, current age, and disabilities. Thank you, sincerely, again. -John
