Thank you Vet tix for an amazing night with my fellow veteran brothers. As a Chiefs fan, I don't get to see my team too often since I live in NJ, but being given free tickets to an event saluting our fellow service members as well as time spent with my fellow brothers in arms was a night to remember. We arrived via RV very early and tailgated with glorious steaks, chicken, and burgers, as well as a lovely amount of drinks. I had so much fun that the Vet Tix hat and Thank You Vet Tix sign never made it in the stadium, haha, oh well next time. As game time grew closer, we found out a group of friends that were supposed to show up canceled. Since my brother in law, a Marine OIF vet, has season tickets and had 2 seats open in addition to two seats that were already bought and paid for we were given those seats. Since I didn't want my tickets to go to waste, a hunt commenced to find another vet to give my tickets to. To our luck we found a group of gentleman near our spot who half were going into the game and the others were hanging back to tailgate. One was an Army vet 82nd Airborne and 2 others were Marine OIF vets. They never heard of Vet Tix but hopefully they kept the ticket print outs to sign up. All in all we met several other Vets that night and had a great time. It was therapeutic to be with my brothers in arms as well as a few family members during a week that celebrated the Marine Corps birthday as well as Veterans Day. I am grateful for this site and the opportunity it gave me. Thank you vet tix!!
