I don't have the words to try to describe to you how much this event meant to me and my family. My wife is a registered nurse that works in the operating room and my 3 yr old (girl) and 5 yr old (boy) have grown fond of hockey through watching the Mighty Ducks. They had been wanting to go so badly, but money has been extremely tight due to the pandemic. I was unable to hold a job due to medical issues, and my wife has been taking extra shifts and on-call shifts in order to keep things going while I stay at home with the children. Going out isn't always the easiest for me, but I always try my best to endure uncomfortable situations so that my family can have a good time. I don't do well in loud environments with big crowds anymore, and unfortunately the day of the game, we had to leave early. I know this is supposed to be a thank you message, and I assure you it is, because for the entire 1st period my family was having the time of their lives cheering and watching the goals go in the net. On the way to the car my kids were so upset about leaving and I was in crisis mode, and it just added a layer of emotion to it, because it's not their fault, they don't understand exactly what I'm going through. I really do appreciate it, and so did my family. I hope one day I can come back and be able to make it through a game with my family. Thank you...thank you...Thank you so much.
