I'm proud to have served the people of this great Country for 25 years in the US Army, which included combat tours in Desert Storm and OIF2 (at the infamous Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq) among my five deployments. After I retired in 2010 though, I didn't notice how much I'd withdrawn from everything, until some fellow Vets recently encouraged me to start interacting with the VA. After swallowing my interfering pride, I am now benefiting from counseling and gradually learning to get out and enjoy some things again. And now thanks to the generosity and support of The Messina Group via Vet Tix, my (expecting) wife and I were able to get out of the house child-free and share some quality time at the Kenny/Jason concert in Minneapolis. I will now pay it forward by supporting Vet Tix into the future, so that my fellow Vets will be able to enjoy these kinds of events. It's the simple pleasures like the freedom of sharing a day out with a loved one that reminds us what we all sacrificed to uphold. Thank you again to Vet Tix & The Messina Group!
