KB100 and Jimmie Johnson Foundation
To the Jimmie Johnson Foundation and VET TIX: I would like to quote early American Psychologist, William James: "The deepest principle of human nature is a desire to be appreciated." The generosity shown by the JJF is self-evident and probably only requires a simple thank-you. The expression of appreciation for Veterans, however, is quite another. For me, as a Veteran, the idea that Jimmie Johnson, by way of his charitable Foundation, provided my family tickets to his California racing farewell sends an entirely different message. I think I speak for many Veterans when I say that the simple expression of appreciation is the salient point. The people of United States of America are unique among all of the peoples of the World in their unified appreciation for their Veterans. While we are promised nothing by the American People when we decide to serve, I have always felt a common principle projected by Americans; that principle is: appreciation. This is another wonderful example of that appreciation. Very Respectfully, Carey Kinyon
