Saturday November 14th 1970 my mother had tickets to see the Texas A&M vs. Rice game however, she could not attend because she was pregnant, overdue, with me. I arrived the following Monday on 16 NOV 1970; my mother never got to see her Texas A&M game. Forty-nine years later a fellow Veteran told me about VETTIX; and the opportunity to attend an A&M game presented itself. I jumped at the chance to get the tickets because my mother would be in Houston for the Holidays. Thank you Vet Tix and who ever you donors are!!! Because of you, I was able to surprise my mother with the game that I cheated her out of so many years ago. Or, maybe it was my way of keeping her from seeing an A&M game that we lost to Rice that SAT 14 NOV 1970 and being able to take her to a winning Texas A&M game! Thank you Vet Tix and whoever you Donors are... You helped make memories that will not be forgotten! Another quick note - sharing the game with other Veterans and their friends and families made the event even more special.
