From two Air Force Retired vets, I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to VET TIX and all the organizations that made a donation so that my husband and I were able to attend the Phoenix Suns game on Saturday, 4 April 2015. Thank you so much to: Admire Plastic Surgery, Phoenix Suns - NBA, Gemini Holdings Inc., King Repair, Datavo, Barry Zemel & Associates, Cox Communications, and the 1 unnamed individual donor. Thank you for allowing us to have a most memorable night! Last week I broke my ankle and haven't been able to get around very well using crutches and the boot I'm required to wear, along with not being able to put any weight on that ankle. Even so, we were so excited to win the tickets from the lottery and to attend the game. We've never been to a Suns game, even though we've lived in Arizona for over 18 years. What made the event even better was the OUTSTANDING treatment we received from the Guest Relations Office personnel. After arriving at the US Airways Center, my husband inquired about getting assistance to our seats due to my limited mobility. After bringing out a wheelchair for me, we were escorted to the Guest Relations Office and everyone there was so friendly, professional and helpful. When we gave them our tickets, they acknowledged where the tickets came from and thanked both of us for our service. We were likewise so appreciative of that acknowledgement from them. They said they would look for disabled seating comparable to the pricing of our seats and we said that would be great, even if we needed to pay the difference. We didn't want to cause any inconvenience to those around us trying to get to our seats. Well, to our surprise and amazement, we were taken to seats in Club Annexus! Honestly, the free tickets to the game were awesome enough, but this was icing on the cake! I just want to make sure you know that we didn't expect any special treatment at all. We were just hoping for directions and some assistance with getting to our seats that didn't require any more walking than required. It was already a difficult walk from the parking garage for me. But the moment Guest Relations stepped up to assist, we didn't have a thing to worry about. We were so impressed by their kindness and I wish I would have thought to write down all their names for you. I'm just sorry I didn't think of that till it was too late. After the game was over, they even wheeled me out to the intersection closest to our parking garage to get us as close to our car as possible without going off-property. Anyway, I just can't say THANK YOU enough for providing a wonderful evening for my husband and I, and our friend that went with us. It was a much-needed distraction for us, especially for my husband. With eye surgery two weeks ago, and breaking my ankle last week, he's been taking great care of me. It made me so happy to hear him be excited when I told him I got tickets to an NBA game courtesy of VET TIX. We will remember that night for a very long time! THANK YOU!
