Sending a HUGE thank you to AEG for the tickets to see the legendary Lionel Richie! It was extra special because I was able to bring my stepdad (whom I adore). Back in the day, he was a songwriter/copyist for many in the Motown scene, and has had the pleasure of working with Lionel Richie, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, and many many others. He even worked on the USA for Africa project and wrote the sheet music for We Are the World. We had no idea that Lionel Richie was going to cover We Are the World, so when he did, my dad had tears running down his face. To see that something you worked on 35 years ago still has impact and relevance, not to mention seeing everyone in the crowd with their flashlights on their phone up, singing along, really made him emotional, and in turn, made my whole family emotional. It was just a very touching moment. Thank you so much for this experience!
