I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and say Thank You to the Arizona Diamondbacks and to the individual donors who offered their tickets and made it possible to attend Wednesday's game with the NY Yankees. I am a Retired Air Force Veteran who will be 69 in June and although I am a relatively recent transplant to Arizona, I was born and raised in New York and have been a life long Yankees fan. We don't get to see them on TV as often as I would like and they don't play out here more than every few years so it meant a lot to me to be able to attend this game. The Yankees have a long and storied history and "tradition". It brought back memories of attending my first Yankees game in person. I was 11 years old and it was a doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers on July 4th played before nearly 76,000 fans. I got to see Yankee greats Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, and Roger Maris (in the year he hit 61 home runs and broke Babe Ruth's record). Thank you again.
