I used to be a Lvl 4 Combative instructor in the Army and helped train soldiers to defend themselves if they ended up in a hand to hand situation. I also fought MMA but after being diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury from being blown up in Iraq I was Medically Disharged and told no more blows to the head. Like a lot of wounded vets I've often been depressed since then not being able to do things I used to enjoy. So having been given the opportunity to see a UFC fight really brightened my Spirits! It was extra special too, because I was able to bring my Oldest Son who is also a Army Combat Veteran who served in Iraq and lives with many of the same difficulties as myself now. Because my Disability is my only source of income I would never be able to afford doing these things without Wonderful Donors like the American Airline Center who support America's Veterans and awesome Organizations like VetTix! It is nice to know people care enough to do this stuff, there are days you sometimes forget this when you have trouble getting things like Medical Appointments/treatment with the VA. There are low points when your in pain both physically and mentally and just need something to keep on moving forward and going to a event like this in a comfortable area because your sitting with other Veterans and the Staff at the Venue was so friendly and helpful it might have be that something that prevented a Veteran from becoming a statistic. So, don't take the Generous ticket donation lightly and again Thank You so much for literally saving life's.
