My wife and I truly enjoyed last night's performance of Giselle. There was some very impressive dancing. The costumes were quite good. The stage set was sparce but effective. Minimal lighting effects. Have never attended a performance at the Bloomington Art Center; it was very comfortable both in seating arrangement and intimate size. The program notes were helpful. Because the audience was thin I felt the troop didn't get it's fair share of applause. Have tried learning more about Continental Ballet Company, but their website doesn't seem to be working. Are they local or regional? Would like to know more about them. Thanks very much for the tickets, we greatly appreciated them.
