To the good folks at VetTix and the NY Islanders, Many thanks for a wonderful day! My family and I had a great time, and I enjoyed being back with the Islanders, whom I've been a fan of since 1972. What a thrill to be recognized with a nice standing ovation from the crowd! I realize that in applauding my service, they were applauding the service of all veterans, and it was a privilege to speak with many other vets during the game. Perhaps most importantly, it was cool to see the look in my adult son's eyes during the ovation. He was very young when I retired from the Navy, and he seemed to be very proud of my service. Can't put that into words...priceless! Thanks again!
