Last night was awesome even though we lost three to one but tonight I’m on the third baseline so hopefully we got better luck. At least Tampa Bay didn’t score 1st batter first pitch home run.

Dear Tampa Bay Rays, I want to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of baseball tickets. Your kindness meant so much more than providing a day at the ballpark. Because of your generosity, I was able to take one of my Sorority Sisters to a Rays game. She had not attended a baseball game since losing her husband last year. As you can imagine, the past year has been incredibly difficult for her, and there have been very few opportunities for her to simply enjoy herself and create new memories. Watching her smile, laugh, cheer for the team, and enjoy the atmosphere brought tears to my eyes. For a few hours, she was able to set aside her grief and simply enjoy being present in the moment. It reminded me how powerful sports can be in bringing people together and lifting spirits. What you provided was not just tickets to a baseball game. You gave my friend an opportunity to experience joy again, and you gave us a special day together that neither of us will forget. That gift is truly priceless. Thank you for investing in our community and for creating opportunities for people like us to make meaningful memories. Please know that your generosity made a real difference in someone's life, and we are deeply grateful. With heartfelt appreciation, La Toya Peelar
