The generosity of donors like Live Nation and VetTix never ceases to amaze me. Thanks to their unwavering support for Veterans like myself, I had the opportunity to experience a truly magical evening — one filled with joy, connection, and unforgettable memories. We received last-minute tickets that turned out to be GA Floor — an incredibly generous gift! While I was beyond excited, I was also a bit nervous. I recently broke my leg and wasn’t sure how I’d manage such a high-energy concert on the GA floor. But with the help of my best friend (and a trusty knee scooter!), I was determined to finally check Katy Perry off my concert bucket list. What happened next was beyond anything I expected. As we were looking for a safe spot on the floor, an event staff member tapped me on the shoulder and asked us to follow. To our surprise, we were given additional wristbands and guided to a less crowded viewing area off to the side of GA Floor. Not only that - a nearby security guard checked in on me a couple times, asking if I needed anything. Their kindness and attentiveness meant the world to me. The entire crew from concert logistics to cameramen were friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing view of the show and felt genuinely cared for throughout the night. It wasn’t just my best friend who looked out for me - the entire staff did, without knowing anything about my status as a Veteran or a person with a disability. Just a woman in a cast, trying to enjoy a night out. As if the night couldn’t get more special, I believe it was thanks to the CFG event team that the guitar technician for the tour handed me two guitar picks toward the end of the show. A small gesture, but one that meant everything (as I’m also a collector and finally learning to play guitar at 54). This experience wasn’t just a concert ticket - it was a gift of connection, kindness, and sincere appreciation. I walked away with more than a memory; I walked away feeling seen, supported, and deeply grateful. From the bottom of my heart: thank you to CFG, Live Nation, and VetTix, and everyone who made this evening so memorable. It’s a night I’ll cherish forever.
