We are so thankful to the Goodman Theatre for their incredible generosity and support of Veterans. You went out of your way to even provide some individual time with the cast member who was military veteran! Loved hearing his story.

I want to thank the Goodman theater for being invited as a veteran to attend the social hour prior to the show. The snacks were a welcome surprise. But talking to cast member Loren Jones, who is also a veteran was wonderful. It was good to meet some of the other Veterans also. The show was wonderful!!! I loved the scenery changes and everything was done so smoothly! The actors were amazing. There was not any member of the company whom I wouldn’t praise. This also the first time I have been to the Goodman Theater, a beautiful venue and theater.

Thank you, Goodman Theater, for the tickets. Friends and I enjoyed the heartwarming story of Ebenezer Scrooge on stage. Throughout his life, money took precedence over relationship, empathy, and growth. Then, Jacob's ghost appeared to Ebenezer! The Past, Present, and Future tormented the miser. Was it too late to change? We laughed and cried. In life, there was a chance. Thank you for supporting the military families.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional experience I had at the Goodman Theatre on Sunday, December 29th, during the sensory-friendly performance of A Christmas Carol. Your thoughtful arrangements for veterans, combined with the outstanding production, made this event truly memorable. The pre-show gathering was a remarkable opportunity to connect with fellow veterans across generations. Sharing stories over the provided refreshments fostered a sense of camaraderie that I deeply appreciated. Meeting one of the actors, who is also a veteran, was particularly inspiring. His willingness to engage with us and the generous gift of a show poster are gestures I will always treasure. Attending the theater offers a therapeutic escape, allowing me to momentarily set aside daily stresses. Experiencing this at the Goodman Theatre for the first time was extraordinary. The sensory-friendly accommodations—such as adjusted sound levels, maintained house lighting, and designated quiet areas—demonstrated your commitment to inclusivity and enhanced the overall experience. Discovering that I had been assigned an exceptional seat further elevated the experience. From that vantage point, I could fully appreciate the intricate set designs and seamless scene transitions. The talent and dedication of the cast and crew were evident in every aspect of the performance, immersing me completely in the story. This event was profoundly meaningful to me. Your generosity and attention to detail have left an indelible impression, and I am sincerely grateful for the effort invested in creating such a welcoming and engaging environment for veterans. Thank you for recognizing the therapeutic power of theater and for making this experience accessible and enjoyable.
