Thank be to God, and to VetTix and amazing donors for allowing us to attend this event. City of Dreams is a must-see movie. https://www.cityofdreamsmovie.com/ Inspired by true events, City of Dreams follows Jesús, a young Mexican boy whose dreams of becoming a soccer star are shattered when he’s trafficked across the border and sold to a sweatshop making fast fashion in downtown Los Angeles. Thrust into a world of exploitation and despair; he’s forced to adhere to the grueling work schedule dictated by El Jefe, a boss who promises freedom for those who complete their quotas. Despite Jesus’s hellish existence, he finds solace in Elena, a girl who was similarly betrayed and sold into slavery. When she goes missing and another co-worker Carlito’s is severely beaten, Jesus realizes that his only hope for freedom is to make a daring escape. See the film, allow it to touch you, and then do something about it.

My wife and I enjoyed the movie City of Dreams, although certain scenes were hard to watch, but it had a great message. Thank you for our generosity with the tickets. Please find attached photo of me at the event with an 8 1/2" X 11" Vet Tix poster ;-) Thanks again, Oscar

What an impactful movie with a message about child slavery. Thank you Roadside Attractions and VetTix. I was also surprised, and probably shouldn’t have been, at the low turnout for this private screening. I know veterans nationwide do not support this abhorrent treatment for of immigrant children. Again, thank you for your efforts at opening our eyes to a serious problem.

Vettix!!! Thank you this film was an eye opener. It makes you be more vigilant and always keeping an eye open. My heart goes to all the kids out there dealing with any type of slavery/trafficking.
