Dear Los Angeles Ballet, Your production of “The Nutcracker” at UCLA Royce Hall last night was fabulous! I in my youth have played the music in orchestras, but never have I actually experienced seeing the dance. It was beautifully choreographed, the costumes were refreshingly pleasing, and the dance itself was extraordinary. We loved the touches of L.A. and the subtle points of LA tongue-in-cheek humor. The discipline, practice to refinement, and sheer artistic and physical talent were all evident. The evening was truly a wonderful holiday treat—an inspiration and a reminder of how beautiful the world is and can be for us all. Thank you for donating to the Veterans community and making the Season so much brighter. And thank you to all who brought the ballet to life—directors, background support staff, costume folks, music/sound coordinators, managers, and of course, the fabulous talented dancers. Semper Supra!
