Many thanks to Outback Presents for providing an amazing evening of entertainment for us. When I saw all the celebrities listed as taking part, I thought they meant they'd send video greetings, but about 20 of them were on stage live. Unbelievable. And it blessed our old-codger hearts to see another old codger (Milsap at 80) getting it done in fine fashion. And what a military night, thanks to you and VetTix. Driving over, we vets reminisced, e.g., our shared experiences at Forts Benning and McCoy. One did helicopter-maintenance tng at Fort Rucker; another was in med service, and ended up marrying a Vietnam War widow. Once in the arena, I saw I'd forgotten my VetTix sign, but the lady we asked to take our picture was a former boatswain's mate, and she lent us hers. And after the event, we discovered that our car battery was dead. Never mind, for there was an Iraq War veteran who happened to be in a nearby parking lot who saw our plight and gave us a cable jump, refusing reimbursement for the cost of driving into our lot. The recently-transplanted Yankee in our group remarked that this was the first time he'd attended a secular concert, and he had a great experience. (He'd been to Christian music concerts.) And he was very impressed with the kindness of Southern strangers, in the form of the vet who got our car going again.

Love the fact that veterans are supported and appreciated with free tickets but, it’s upsetting to be in the very back and highest up section when you see a LOT of open better seats in front of you. We had a nice time just couldn’t see the performers without binoculars!
